Award winning TV, Radio Broadcaster, Journalist and Author

As one of Ireland’s most well known and loved Broadcasters, Kathryns warmth and ability to put people at ease on TV can be seen on the hugely successful health series, TV show Operation Transformation. Her natural interview skills mean she is also a regular on RTÉ Radio 1. Kathryn literally jumped off our TV screens at the age of 19 bungee jumping, sky diving and swimming with great white sharks, fronting the hugely popular young person’s sports show, Rapid, alongside GAA star Jason Sherlock. From there, she began presenting the hugely popular National Lottery game show, Winning Streak, beloved travel show No Frontiers and hit international series, The Voice.

She has hosted numerous live big national events including Weather Live, St. Patricks Day Live, the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics World Summer Games, Live from the Red Carpet at the IFTA’s, Telethon and many more. She was also a regular on the comedy show, The Panel with Dara O’Briain.

Kathryn has amassed many awards throughout her career including TV Personality of the Year at the ‘Irish Film and Television Awards’ as well as Best TV Presenter two years running at the ‘TV Now Awards’. She won the ‘Travel Extra Travel Journalist of the Year’ and VIP Most Stylish Woman of the Year. We also know she’s hugely proud of clinching 3rd place as Irelands most desirable Valentine, though you’ll never get her to admit it!

No Frontiers.

Having introduced herself to the nation, as an adrenaline junkie, Irelands hit travel programme, No Frontiers came knocking, looking for a presenter to backpack to the far corners of the globe, Kathryn didn’t have to be asked twice! She took off with her rucksack and over 10 years, visiting 82 countries, Kathryn became the face of travel in Ireland, bringing people from the comfort of their sitting rooms to the furthest outposts, the highest mountains, the remotest beaches and the deepest darkest jungles. From Papa New Guinea to Panama, from Outer Mongolia to Outback Australia, from the Antarctic to Arkansas, Kathryn’s love of travel and exploration helped No Frontiers become a staple for Irish audiences as she introduced viewers to another world.

RTÉ Radio 1.

Not happy just settling for our TV screens, she is also a regular on the radio airwaves,covering for the Ray D’Arcy show on RTÉ Radio 1. Her Music Passport documentaries, which look at the importance of music in different cultures, have taken her all over Ireland and as far afield as Rwanda, winning her a gold medal at the international New York Radio festival.Time which pits the wits of old age pensioners against a panel of students.

Operation Transformation.

In the hugely successful health series, Operation Transformation, Kathryn is joined by five members of the public as they lay themselves bare every week in an attempt to lose weight. Kathryn is not just there to reveal their weight loss targets. Whether running in the rain, knee deep in mud or wiping away tears, the nation sees her with them every step of the way and her commitment and passion for the show and its leader’s success is undeniable. Since Kathryn joined the series in 2010 it has gone from strength to strength and won best reality series in 2014 at the Irish Film and Television Awards. Kathryn also hosts Celebrity Operation Transformation.

Author & Columnist.

Kathryn first book “Off the Beaten Track”, was a big hit with her fans and topped the Irish charts. The book documents the roads less travelled during her 10 years travelling the globe with No Frontiers. She also writes travel features regularly for The Irish Daily Star as well as the Sunday Independent, Ireland’s largest newspaper. too. That was what inspired her to set up her own business, Pure Results Bootcamp. Having attended different retreats all over the world, she combined all her experience and now runs Irelands premier all inclusive residential weight loss and fitness retreat.
